Florence

Florence is only 70km away and it’s no doubt worth a visit. It’s considered the cradle of art and architecture and it’s known throughout the world as the "beautiful" city. It was an important cultural, financial and commercial centre in the Middle Ages and later on the home of the Grand Duke and the Royal family, the Medici. It became the heart of the Renaissance and the meeting point of artists and poets.
